Assessment of LLN Unit
The assessment comprises:
- Practical tasks. These can be done in your workplace or a realistic simulatation of a workplace. The textbook instructions are a detailed guide to the expectations in the practical assessments. During the assessment, you will also need to show self-management and organizational skills.
- A set of questions, which can be done either as an interview or as an assignment. (Rqs 8)
Practical assessment for stages one to five (Caae 1)
- Find out what level of LLN skills are required in two different units that are relevant to the course you teach.
- Use an assessment tool to assess the LLN skills of two different students in different units, and recommend a response.
- show how to work with two students and their tutors (i.e. LLN support specialists) through a unit.
Practical assessments for responses (Csra 1)
- Demonstrate how to locate a suitable tutor (i.e. first-level specialist) and make a referral.
- Show changes in two specific lesson plans that you have made to address LLN issues. (Caae 2)
- Your assessor will make sure all of the above have at least two forms of evidence, for example:
- written work submitteed by the student
- observation by assessor in the classroom
- third-party observations of you with a range of students, or
- interview on how you adjusted to a range of students. (Caae 3)

These questions are required if this assessment is done for a standlone unit. They are not required if they have already been assessed. (e.g. in previously completed Cert IV TAA units.)
