Social Cognition

Social cognition is the idea that the main factor to determine individual development is culture, which includes the family environment. Culture conveys both knowledge and the tools of thinking.

Children learn through solving problems with other people, such as a parent, teacher, sibling or peer.

Teaching strategies:

• Students need to work in groups, individuals, or mentors.
• Start by giving lots of help, and slowly let students become more independent.
