LukeWhen I was a student, we used to complain if the my lecturer got any of these things wrong. Didn't happen often. But it was easy to remember.
And I also remember when a lecturer made sure we got up to workplace standards. We didn't like it at the time, because he made us do it all again. But I found out that it was a good thing when I started work later on.

I think the idea of competent is still a bit fuzzy for me. But I think I'd know what to look for if I were assessing someone. Basically do a good job and no stuff-ups.
