Program review

  1. The head of each department oversees reviews of the department's programs.
  2. Program reviews shall be documented.
  3. Faculty consistently and continuously evaluate WU programs. In practice, this means annually for ongoing programs and at the end of each unit being offered for the first time.
  4. Reviews shall consider the following:
    1. Suitability of program and unit objectives
    2. Relevance of the course material to the needs of the students served
    3. Student assignment results
    4. Observations of student participation
    5. Feedback from the cohort about the academic level or rigor of the material
    6. Study time and semester hour rating
    7. Availability and accessibility of resources being used and prescribed, and
    8. Implementation of the skills gained.
  5. The faculty evaluate:
    1. whether the curriculum has sufficient depth and breadth to meet program and unit objectives.
    2. whether faculty have the necessary expertise, skills and resources to continue the program efficiently and effectively.
  6. The faculty shall then propose improvements and how they will be implemented.
