Units relating to teaching children

These are the titles of Australian units of competency relating to children's care, education, and behavior management. They have been updated, so current titles might be different. Certainly the codes have changed so they have been deleted. Many units are suited to university preparation, education studies, and to Christian ministry.
General interaction and development:
- Interact effectively with children
- Develop an understanding of children's interests and developmental needs
- Provide experiences to support children's play and learning
- Use targeted communication skills to build relationships
Behavior management
- Manage complex behavioural situations
- Respond effectively to difficult behaviours
- Establish and implement plans for developing cooperative behaviour

- Support the development of children
- Foster physical development in early childhood

- Facilitate skills development and maintenance
Duty of care
- Participate in workplace safety procedures
- Apply basic First Aid
- Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
- Support the rights and safety of children and young people
- Ensure children's health and safety
- Participate in safety procedures for direct care work
