Extended RPL

Some courses have a relatively short classwork time for relatively complex requirements.

They are actually RPL programs that give students in classes comprehensive orientation to all unit requirements (including jargon) and instruction on how to develop portfolios of evidence.

So it looks like a course, but isn't really. Even if done really well, extended RPL courses attract allegations of being quickie qualifications. (Joe blow did an Advanced Diploma in only four days!) In fact, the opposite is true: they are a long version of RPL.

The trend is to make all normal learning materials available to RPL applicants.
