Manage risk

You should already have identified many of the risks you will face. But you now need to review risks in light of your plan-in-progress. (Here's the link again to risk management.)

Identify and assess risks:

  1. Invite relevant parties to help you to identify risks
  2. Do some research risks that may apply to scope
  3. Generate a list of risks that apply to the scope in consultation with relevant parties
  4. Assess the likelihood of risks occurring
  5. Assess the impact or consequences if risks occur
  6. Evaluate and prioritize risks for treatment

Then select and implement treatments:

  1. Determine and select most appropriate options for treating risks, including putting contingency plans in place.
  2. Write a risk management plan that includes:
    1. a detailed stakeholder analysis
    2. explanation of the risk context
    3. critical success factors
    4. identified and analyzed risks,
    5. treatments for prioritized risks
    6. details of monitoring arrangements for risk management plan
  3. Communicate risk management processes to relevant parties
  4. Ensure all documentation is in order and appropriately stored
  5. Implement and monitor action plan
  6. Evaluate risk management process for its ability to effectively treat risks

Write a risk management document according to the instructions listed above. You may use the forms at the bottom of the Risk management textbook as a basis.
