Goal-driven evaluation

The task here is to evaluate your organization against its goals and objectives. This approach uses the following steps:

  1. Clearly state your organization's philosophy, goals and objectives, and service standards, and any relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  2. Evaluate your organization's goals and standards. Are they well researched, specific, and realistic? Are the goals the right ones for this organization at this time? If not, you may need to recast them and get approval for changes from your supervisor or board.
  3. Based on your outcome of the previous step, use them to design criteria for evaluation.
  4. Then measure your organization against its goals. Is it on track to achieve its goals? Why or why not?
  5. Finally, measure your systems against your goals. Are your protocols, practices and procedures appropriate well-suited to their purposes? Are they effective? Could you improve them?
