Case management
Many kinds of Community Development need a case management system, so that you have an organized way on tracking the progress of individuals and what needs to be done to help them. Case management is done in different ways.
- Some agencies hold review meetings, acting much like a case conference.
- Agencies handling more complex problems need a system of case conferences and/or individual case plans.
- An employment agency will follow a general procedure with a clear, defined set of stages that clients should progress through.
Nevertheless, it is critical that you:
- keep case records
- objectively observe behavior, actions and progress and collect feedback
- identify the limits of your role and take action to contact appropriate people
- assess progress on goals and activities.
